5/5

Relax. Let Nixxit take care of the heavy lifting.

Do you have old tires you want to get rid of without hassle? Perhaps they have been kept from previous cars or are leftovers when you swap from summer to winter tires.

Perhaps you have already used them to create swings in a children’s play area in the yard or as garden planters and fancy a change.

Did you know that you can recycle almost all old tires? However, they are amongst the hardest and most complicated items to recycle.

Tires are challenging to recycle because they are a mixture of textile, steel, and rubber, plus there will be traces of oil and other chemicals present. However, tires are one of the most frequently recycled products in the US.

At Nixxit, our pro junk disposal team does all the heavy lifting, so you don’t have to worry about anything. And we do it all in the most environmentally friendly way possible.

Contact Nixxit to schedule your free tire disposal and recycling estimate today!

Environment-Friendly Tire Recycling

Tires have a shelf life, and when they get to the end of their useful life, it’s time to remove them from the vehicle and replace them. A tire that has reached the end of the road is labeled ELT – End of Life Tire.

Tires can be collected for recycling and avoid landfills or just burning. Responsible disposal can have a substantial environmental impact. Those which are not recycled produce toxins which pollute soil, air, and water.

Tire recycling is the process of turning ELTs into materials that are reusable in new products. Shredding waste rubber produces ground rubber, and this is the most environmentally friendly way of managing ELTs as almost all the rubber is reusable.

Ground rubber can be a superior product to many traditional materials in various applications.

At Nixxit, we don’t just remove your junk—we aim to keep our processes as environmentally friendly as possible. Call Nixxit today for hassle-free, eco-friendly tire disposal and recycling service.

Rules for Tire Disposal & Pick Up

Each state in the US has its scrap tire laws and regulations. Laws revolve around the different stages of collection, storage, processing, and use, plus there are regulations to help get rid of scrap tire stockpiles.

The California Tire Recycling Act requires that waste tires be disposed of properly.

For the householder, they cannot put tires out with the regular trash, nor can you leave them in a dumpster.

Although tires are recyclable, they won’t be collected or accepted by a general recycling service, so you can never leave tires out to be collected by your regular garbage disposal service.
