What junk can Nixxit take?

Nixxit can remove almost anything as long as it’s not hazardous.
Some common items that we take include furniture, appliances, mattresses, bed frames, electronics, household items, clothing, fixtures, old tools, wood, scrap metal, general garbage, pianos, yard debris, construction debris, dirt, concrete, brick, spas, fencing, sheds, play structures, exercise equipment, carpets, tires, toys, and more.

Do you do furniture removal and other large bulky items?

We sure can. Whether it’s your old couch, bed, dresser, or table, we can handle all furniture removal and other large items! Our team is well-trained to handle all of the heavy lifting.

Can you complete full house cleanouts?

Are there any items you do not remove?

Yes. We cannot accept any toxic or hazardous items such as paints, oils, pesticides, household batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, household cleaners, medicines, ammunition, fireworks, any items containing asbestos or any other harmful material.

Do you know where I can take my hazardous items?

Yes! There are several Hazardous Waste Facilities located throughout the Bay Area and in most cases, you can dispose of your items for free if you are a resident. For more information, please visit our website.

How far in advance do I need to schedule?

It’s completely up to you. Usually, we can provide same-day junk removal for our customers if needed! Alternately, if you are someone who likes to plan ahead, you can schedule as far out as you need. Give us a call at (925) 521-8354 to schedule your junk removal pick-up!

How big are your trucks?

Nixxit’s trucks are large (16 cubic yards). This is about 10-20% larger than our competitor’s trucks and larger than most dumpsters.

Can Nixxit provide me with a dumpster?

We do not provide dumpsters. Nixxit specializes in full-service junk removal. Our team will come out the day of your scheduled appointment and remove your items from anywhere on the property, saving you the time and hassle of doing the job yourself.

My stuff is worth money, will you pay me for it?

Sorry, we do not pay our customers for their items. We provide full-service junk removal.
 
If you believe that your stuff is of value, we always encourage our customers to attempt to sell their items before contacting us to remove it.

How much does junk removal cost?

Our pricing is based on volume or how much room your junk takes up in our truck. To provide you with the best price possible, Nixxit’s junk removal experts will provide you with a free onsite estimate before the beginning of every job.
For jobs that are more labor-intensive such as the removal of dirt, concrete, bricks, etc. we charge based on bedload.

Can you provide me with an estimate over the phone?

Our general rule of thumb is that if you have 3 items or more, the best and most accurate way for us to assess the job and offer you the lowest price is a free, no-obligation on-site estimate. When we are on-site, we can see exactly what the job will require. This helps us give you an immediate, accurate, and fair price for your junk removal job.

If you only have 3 items of less, in most cases we can provide you with a quote over the phone.

How can I estimate the size of a pickup?

Our truck boxes are 16 cubic yards which is equivalent to the size of 6-7 pickup trucks. You can view our volume visualizer here. Before starting, our team will provide you with a free no-obligation on-site estimate.

What if I need more than one truck?

We can certainly do pickups that require multiple truckloads and often do. Contact us before booking online if you think that your pick-up may require multiple truckloads.

When will my haulers arrive?

From the moment you book your junk removal appointment to the day of, Nixxit prides itself on seamless communication.
Nixxit’s appointments are scheduled between a 2-hour appointment window.
On the day of your appointment, your dispatched hauler will call you 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment window to let you know when they expect to be there, along with a text message with your junk removal expert’s name and their picture so that you’re greeted by a familiar face when they arrive.

Is Nixxit insured?

We sure are! We take our jobs and your property seriously! Every member of our junk removal team is fully licensed and backed by a $1 million insurance policy for the safety of you and your property.

Do you perform background checks on your team members?

Yes. Each member of the Nixxit team has undergone a rigorous background check through Pinkerton. It is important to us that you feel comfortable and confident in our staff during your junk removal project.

Can Nixxit provide a Certificate of Insurance?

Should I tip my haulers?

You’re making us blush! Tipping is welcome but not required. If our team did a great job, you can also choose to show them some love on Yelp or Google!

What if I won’t be there for my junk removal appointment?

Whether you are at work or simply away for the day, not to worry! We know our customers are busy people.
If you won’t be present for your appointment, you can either authorize someone else to sign on your behalf or coordinate alternate details with us directly before your appointment. Our team can collect payment via phone or online after your project is complete. Our goal is to make the entire process as convenient as possible for you.

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept Cash, Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover, and all contactless payment systems including Apple Pay and Google Pay. Please note, at this time we do not accept checks.
