Nixxit is locally owned and operated, not a franchise. Owner and founder Sarah McCorriston grew up in Dublin, and field leads Bryce and David grew up in Castro Valley and Fremont. Bryce and David spent years at the world’s largest junk removal franchise before the three of them started Nixxit in 2019 to offer a more personal experience. Large franchises often see the Bay Area as a sales territory. For our team it’s home, which is why we sponsor local events like the Castro Valley Car Show and the Rowell Ranch Parade.

Every Nixxit job starts with a free, no-obligation on-site estimate, so you know the price before anything is loaded. Pricing is based mainly on how much truck space your items take up, from a single item to a full 16-cubic-yard load. Your quote covers labor (up to one hour for a full truck), travel, transport, and disposal, so there are no surprise gas or dump fees. If you’d rather not be home, our curbside pickup option saves you 10%.

Nixxit works toward an 80% landfill diversion rate, which means donating or recycling as much of what we haul as possible. Instead of dropping donations at large donation centers, we deliver usable items directly to local non-profits, families in need, schools, and teachers around the Bay Area. Nixxit is also one of only a few Certified Bay Area Green Businesses in the junk removal industry.
